I think it’s Boris Valejo, I had a coffee table book of his artwork once and this was in it.
He’s got some really great stuff. There’s some really good Royo repositories out there on the intarweb if you’re up for a little googling.
The artist is definitely not Boris Vallejo but Luis Royo, a Spanish fantasy and sci-fi illustrator. He’s got an official web site (www.luisroyo.com) and even an entry in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luis_Royo).

Gah, I didn’t see Tremere’s post, but after doing a little more than a google image search he’s right, that book must have been a colaboration or I’m just out of my tree.
It is Lois Royo. You can seek him out online under the nickname of VALIANT on his own website. I have been a fan of his for years and even own the book that that image is from. He uses his wife as a model for most of his pics and has done a lot of famous Video Game art, life the original – non american – cover of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
