A friends wife once told me it’s a perception that being thin makes you look younger. Plus there’s a change in attitude in some circles towards having fewer children. So large breasts and hips are becoming less desirable (not by ME though!)
The good news is even though you see fewer women like Betty Page in the media these days, there’s just as many in real life now as there ever were!
My favourite thing about Bettie is that waist… *wistful sigh* Gorgeous hips and round bottom, and that little waist, the perfect hourglass. Yum.

Good theory, but it doesn’t take into account how young girls still have some baby fat on them: Sarah Michelle Gellar was actually kind of chubby during season 1 of Buffy, but (to me) way hotter than she is now, 10 years later and a lot thinner.
