Dude, I’ve been there. The pot is weak and the prostitutes are old and diseased. It’s not worth the effort.
Sure, if you hit the poor part of town. As for the diseased part… Their prostitutes are licensed and required to have frequent tests for various STDs to keep those licenses. Not saying all follow the law, but if you caught something off one, it’s your own damn fault for not checking their certs.
As for the pot, ask for the stuff they sell the locals and not the tourist blends. :p

The prostitutes are old and sad, but the weed is cheap and strong. $5 (€3.50) for a joint as long as your finger. There’s also the Heineken factory, Anne Frank house, and plenty of beautiful little ‘dorfs’ in the area.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen weed there worse than “damn good.” Did I mention I used to work on a farm in Humboldt?
it all depends in where you go for example in den haag weed is fucking expensive silverhaze cost 14 euro for 1 gram and prositute comes in all types

No one cares about the buildings. If you want nice buildings go to Croatia. Vroatia is fantastic for buildings. If you want to go somewhere you will not remember go to Amsterdam.
I’ve been to Croatia and I can’t remember any buildings actually. What I do remember are the bloody stones they had at their beaches instead of sand, oh yes.
Also, I can get stoned in public in quite a few countries in Europe and get away with it, no need to go to Amsterdam for that. Or you can just legally buy Mexican shrooms or truffles. At least in Austria.
@dieAntagonista: No, seriously. The red light district makes me sad. Half the women have seen much better days, and it just seems so degrading to stand in front of a window all day while men come by and judge you.
Then again, that was during the day. At night all the curtains are pulled shut with customers. Maybe the old guard works the day shift.

Weed addicts? I used to get blitzed on medical grade every single day. Like stuff that was just as strong if not stronger than the dutch strains. whenever i ran out i would say “oh well, looks like i gotta crack out the sleeping pills tonight.” Wait a few days or a few weeks depending on av availability and i would get twice as fucked up as the last time. Addiction is a loose term when it comes to pot. Granted there are people who gain a mental addiction (but any habit can be categorized as addicting if it really interferes with your life) but there is very little evidence to say that it is physically addicting (like alcohol or heroin). The british government even says that marijuana is less addicting than ciggarettes,alcohol, and caffeine.
