How are lesbians nasty? Yeah there are some very masculine looking lesbians, I find it always very amusing when they’re also misandric. It’s quite ironic.
But there are also normal looking lesbians who just happen to like women, I don’t see what’s nasty about that.
As for this show, I find the picture extremely offensive (No, not because they’re naked or because they portray gay people). I am also offended by the fact that this show exists. What a pile of bullshit.
This is one of my favorite shows, I think I’ve seen all the episodes. The stories are very creative, shocking, and sometimes hilarious. However, one of my favorite characters dies from breast cancer and it’s very sad. Most people who watch it get hooked. I live with guys, and whenever I watch a new season they always ask for updates on the show, because as much as they hate to admit it, they like it too. =) After I watched all four seasons, I rented Queer As Folk to see if it was as good as other shows on Showtime. I was really dissappointed, the actors were terrible.

@beckyw697: i watch Queer as Folk before i moved to holland, i enjoyed the show because it was funny. I’m straight and it’s nothing wrong as long they keep certain limits. i dunno gay jokes (tv) are pretty funny.
btw watched the L word and it was nice but i can name a couple series i find better. on a mid-level, anyone remember the series “just shoot me” on TBS. Yep my favorite show.

I didn’t mind this show at first, but I don’t watch enough tv to follow any ongoing plots and it was generally too much an archetypal soap opera for me to bother downloading them all.
I don’t like theme focused shows like this. I’d rather see a nice lesbian sub-plot/character arc embedded in a well written sci-fi or fantasy series than a show that makes a character trait into a central theme. That’s what most of my lesbian friends and I think at least

Lesbians are twice as likely as heterosexual women to be overweight or obese, which puts them at greater risk for obesity-related health problems and death, US researchers said.
The report, published in the American Journal of Public Health, is one of the first large studies to look at obesity among lesbians.
