    I happen to love fantasy and happen to love swords. But I fucking HATE those stupid looking ‘fantasy swords’ they are so… silly.

    Give me a gladius or a spatha please.

    And when it comes to da warring: I’ll fight spartan style. Naked and covered in my enemies blood. Armor just slows ya down and my foes all fail their will saves when they the lil naked girl running at them screaming and mad.

    In other news; Did you know that most Amazon’s would actually remove one of their breasts to make archery easier?

    @sylvanish:

    Amazon women were an invention of greek mythology, possibly based on historicity. In other words, the only records of their existence stems from Greek art and literature. Oh, and they weren’t from South America, but an area near Turkey.

    @Tenspace: Oh I know that. But, ah, you just gave me the impression that you are very boring person.
    Not because of your knowledge, but how you apply it and let it color your perception. Rather gray in this case.

    @AgZed: Translation: Revealing armour distracts opponents, allowing the female warrior to strike a lethal blow more easily. This is a source of great embarrassment for the vanquished, although the female warrior finds the entire situation most amusing.

    @sylvanish: Spathae are generally cool. However I’ve never really been a fan of the design of the Gladius. The blade profile always sees too large for my liking.

    The sword in the pic is a Kit Rae creation, he always has this penchant for gaudiness in his hilt design, though I generally do love the blade profiles of his swords. He does organic blades very well…

    @sylvanish: Did you form your opinion on just one post? Sorry I don’t meet your standards for primary color perception, it must be my loneliness clouding my exterior.

    1.- I cum

    2.- doesnt that sword has some details from LOTR movies?

    Phyreblade

    @acid_monkey:
    No, not really. The weapons used in LOTR did not employ quite so elaborate hilts. And the blade profiles for almost every other sword, with the notable exception of Sting, were much straighter. Sting was the only blade that widened towards the tip like this one, and it was a much shorter and had a much deeper hollow grind.
