    28. Vote -1 Vote +1Phyreblade (UID#5939)

      @dieAntagonista: LOL, definitely not 12 year old, these girls, but actually I personally think models in general tend to be waaay too thin.

      It’s simply a personal preference of course, but I’ve always thought a model should represent the ideal female form, not the form you can fit the widest range of dress cuts on.

      But as one gal once told me, hips and bewbs make a designers work harder. Full figured women tend to vary greatly in shape, and skinny girls tend to remain within a specific range of sizes and proportions than full figured ones. So it is easier to design dresses for skinny women than curvy ones…

    29. Vote -1 Vote +1nyokki (UID#3444)

      @Phyreblade: Clothes “hang” better on skinny, less-curved women and men than they do on the curvaceous body. We’ve somehow allowed that perception to skew whole societies’ views on what “looks” good. I’m sure we’ve all heard the expression “But, it looked so good on the mannequin!”. I read (somewhere, so I can’t really back it) that the proportion of women today is the same as women in the 20s, but we now weigh 10% more. Apparently we’ve gotten taller on average than we were less than 100 years ago. It’s amazing what simple nutrition can do for one’s health.

    30. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @Phyreblade:

      I don’t think models are automatically too thin. If you look at a lot of different models, you can see that some are just built that way, while others starve themselves until they look like that.
      I know most people don’t like to hear it, but some women are thin by nature. And as someone who is also very petite, I find it mean that people think it’s ok to ciritcise women for being too thin because oh no, it could give other women the impression that they have to look like that also. But if someone says they don’t like curvy women, naturally they’re a bad person.
      I don’t think either is ok. At least not when it’s just a general statement about all women.
      I understand it’s just a personal preference, but most people don’t feel the need to mention that every time they see a woman who doesn’t have the hair colour they prefer.

      But yea you’re right. Curvy women tend to be all unique, while thinner women are very similar.

    31. Vote -1 Vote +1nyokki (UID#3444)

      @dieAntagonista: You’re right. I have a friend who is tall and lanky and beautiful. Her 2 daughters look to follow her and they certainly don’t skip any meals. It’s clearly just they way they’re built. You can usually tell the ones that starve themselves. Their hair and skin don’t look healthy; their eyes aren’t bright and their teeth can be atrocious. I also note that the extremely thin people that I know are not actually underweight. It is difficult to realize that they weigh the same as me, yet look like they barely weigh 100lbs. I realize that their height affects the proportions, but even w/ that figured in, their not light people. Sorry if I’m rambling a bit. It’s not always easy to say what you mean (in detail) and keeping it short.

    32. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @nyokki:

      Oh don’t worry I understand you perfectly. And you’re completely right, those are exactly the signs that show they starve themselves. Sometimes they do have visible bellies, but you can see their bones on other parts way too clearly. What I observed is that they lack energy to laugh often times. I know a lot of girls like that, unfortunately.
      I like to draw women, in fact I can only draw women. So I look at a lot of pictures or sometimes I draw even strangers, and once you pay attention to the details you can tell after one glance whether or not they’re naturally thin. Also, which is kind of interesting, the naturally thin and naturally curvy ones are most fun to draw. Though I do prefer the curvy ones for the most part.

    33. Vote -1 Vote +1nyokki (UID#3444)

      @dieAntagonista: I do like to think we’re the more interesting ones. Of course, magnus may feel differently. ;)

    34. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @nyokki: Haha oh my, I think mAgnUS is just more impressed with women who work out a lot. Which is understandable, we all have seen that he himself puts a lot of work in his body.

      But yea, everyone knows when it comes to art, you’ll need curvy models.
      There’s no artist who became a legend by drawing women who look like 14 year old boys. :p

    35. Vote -1 Vote +1Phyreblade (UID#5939)

      @dieAntagonista: I don’t think models are *automatically* too thin just because they are models. I was just observing that *in general* they tend to be too thin for my taste. Do you feel that I am criticizing petite women by stating that they are not my ideal?

    36. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @Phyreblade:

      Haha no that’s not what I meant. It’s just people like to point things like that out, as if it’s any more significant than when a woman has a hair colour they don’t like.

    37. Vote -1 Vote +1Vent (UID#1995)

      frilly panties are awesome, but they’re even more awesome when they’re OFF!

      c’mon guys, those girls are hot. if you’re really, really gonna be picky – the one of the right kinda has big feet compared to her calves. that is so nasty. (lying) But you know what they say about chicks with big feet… better blowjobs! oh yeah!

    38. Vote -1 Vote +1nyokki (UID#3444)

      @dieAntagonista: I know, I was hoping to tweak him a bit on it. It does appear however, that he has a life and is not to be seen on this thread.

    39. Vote -1 Vote +1Phyreblade (UID#5939)

      @dieAntagonista: I see… So is the issue that something is being specifically pointed out, or that they think that any specific trait is more important than another?

    40. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @Phyreblade: I don’t know anymore. Why you gotta make things so complicated.

      There is no issue, I just randomly picked you out as my victim. You said it in a more elegant way, but usually they just point fingers and go, ew someone give her a cheeseburger, or, ew miss thunder thighs.

    41. Vote -1 Vote +1Vent (UID#1995)

      mmmm…. thunder thighs.

    42. Vote -1 Vote +1Phyreblade (UID#5939)

      @dieAntagonista: LOL… Sorry. I guess I’m not a very good victim. Not trying to complicate things, I just tend to ask questions when I do not understand someones reasoning, or if I think I have been misunderstood.

      I think I understand where you are coming from though. There is a very fine line between opinions and unfounded judgments that makes them hard to distinguish from one another.

      I will admit to the occasional “Give her a cheeseburger” or “Teh Harpoons!” comment, more because I think they are funny, and would laugh if someone said that to me, and I presume (probably erroneously) that others would as well.

      However I would never precede any such statement with an “Ewww”, because I do not actually find a skinny/fat girl disgusting or repulsive or anything like that. People are what they are, and regardless of my preferences, I know there are a multitude of other things waaay more important about a person than their physical attributes…

      OK… I’ll stop giving you a headache now… :)

    43. Vote -1 Vote +1dieAntagonista (UID#2287)

      @Phyreblade:

      Haha nah what you say makes sense. You’re probably the most polite and ‘correct’ person on this site, or one of the few I can count on being more objective than me. So it was a little unfair, or maybe I just meant it in general.
      It’s like 8am here and I didn’t sleep for a very long time.

      Also, I do like funny comments, those were just simplifications of what they usually say. They make it sound like it’s the woman’s fault for being built skinny, or having wide hips ect.

      You’re awesome. I don’t think I could fight with you no matter how hard I tried. Not that I tried or anything :p

    44. Vote -1 Vote +1Phyreblade (UID#5939)

      @dieAntagonista: Yeah, well don’t be trying to fight with me. It won’t be pretty. I might end up running away sobbing like a little schoolgirl…
