It’s not my thing, and the few people I’ve known who are really into it have been incapable of explaining their interest in any manner. Particularly for those people who don’t own expensive cars- I can, to some degree, understand the position of the guy who spends $150k on a car. I mean, fuck, if you’ve got the money, spend it on whatever you like. I’m not a big American muscle car/sport car fan but the new vettes are rockin’ cars. I had a friend with a Z06 that I got to drive a bunch and beyond the fact that the interior was falling apart at 50k miles, it was a great car to drive. Those things can keep up with MX-5s at the autocross track which says TONS for their stock handling capabilities.
