Sexy had a different definition back in the 20s, I guess.

This kind of definition still exists, it’s not as popular as it once was though. Reminds me of the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald…

    This IS still sexy

You implying that this isn’t sexy today? It’s okay, come out of the closet. I won’t judge you…

    @Tyger42:

The hell you talking about? This style of erotic art’s popularity has nothing to do with my opinion.

I dont dig it cause i dont dig the hair. It’s stupid fucking hair. Stop being pretentious and look at their fucking hair.

I love that hairstyle on women, but there aren’t many who can pull it off.

Good pic. Should be retitled “Flapper fapper”.

Not outstanding. Atleast they’re naked though.

This isn’t dancing. I’ve seen the movie Step up, and these people aren’t doing anything like that.

    This post is very misleading.

I’ll take dibs on the one on the far right (ignoring the fact that she’s 120 years old now)

I find it interesting that the woman in the center is shaved. That wasn’t a normal practice back then.

@Snarky Parker: I was talking about Annarchy’s comment under the picture. Not you. Which was why you didn’t see “@Snarky Parker:” at the front of my post.

They’re all beautiful and this pic is fucken hawt. I just finished watching the documentary The Celluloid Closet , about (mostly homosexual) sex in the movies. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

@j_bryon: Not shaved, just lightly haired. That happens.

@nyokki: Agreed. It’s the vintage images like this that actually reassure me that at some point in time women have existed that I look like. Never seeing my shape represented in media since the early 60s has done me absolutely no favors.

@outofocus: Me too. I’ve got BOOBS, some hip and a waist. Finding clothes that fit and enhance are difficult to come by, especially when you don’t want to put a lot of time and effort into it.

Also, I don’t shave, but look like the one in the center. I guess I never really needed to shave.

@nyokki: I don’t really see the big deal about body hair. People are welcome to their opinions but I actually resent the social pressure on women to remove yet more naturally occurring things from their bodies. I’m a grooming freak so I keep things tidy but I’ve always done since I first started getting body hair (11 or so), BEFORE it was the thing. I refuse to shave. It’s bad enough getting rashes on my underarms/legs whenever I shave. I am NOT going to put up with rashes between my legs. However, if a guy wants to pay for the… Read more »

@outofocus: like it’s only women who have a pressure to remove hair. men have a way bigger obligation to have short hair and shave their faces, which has more hair on it than a woman’s entire body.

@Dyna-Mole: Yeah, because that’s what I said. Don’t put words that weren’t there. But that aside, I disagree with you. Men are not required to shave their faces or cut their hair. Matter of fact, it is more socially acceptable for a man to have long hair than it is for a woman to have short hair. The only area that seems to get consistent ‘ewww’ is back hair and all the men i know with back hair still have it, no grooming seems to be required and they have no issues with women whining to them about it where… Read more »

There will always be men like me (and women) for whom these classic shapes are the pinnacle of gorgeousness. May all good things come to you.

@Annarchy: And none of the products made for women are anywhere near as good as those made for men.

Never had a problem with hirsute women. Most guys I know do. In my case, some of my indifference might’ve had to do with a model who used to pose in my first year of art school: a hippie who didn’t shave anything, but who had such an outstanding body that any distaste for her hairiness got totally steamrolled by my overall arousal. Man, I drew that chick’s BRAINS out. In hindsight, I think it taught me to prioritize & overlook faults. Although I’m hardly immune to turn-offs –women with hair on the face creep me out a bit. Most… Read more »

@HoChunk: Indeed, that is my only issue with hair in general. It requires upkeep. Way more trouble than it’s worth. For me anyway…

@Phyreblade: Agreed. I have long hair for the second time in my life and it sucks, even in the dreaded form which requires less work on a day to day basis. I miss having my hair buzzed.
